USC vs. UCLA score: Bruins jump out to early lead, 17-0

The USC Trojans have turned the ball over twice in the first 15 minutes, leading to a SCORE lead for UCLA.

The UCLA Trojans took advantage of two turnovers in the first quarter and have jumped out in front of the USC Trojans, 17-0. Devin Hester picked off Matt Barkley's first pass, and Bruin defensive pressure has continued to stifle the Trojan offense, forcing a fumble on USC's 3rd drive.

The first Bruins drive went 17 yards for a touchdown following the interception. UCLA converted the fumble into another touchdown to open the lead even farther. The Bruins also had a long drive that ate up much of the clock, going 84 yards in 18 plays over 7:41 and picking up a field goal.

Brett Hundley has been extremely efficient so far, going 12 of 14 for 93 yards with one touchdown on the ground and one through the air. Johnathan Franklin isn't as dominant as usual, but he has racked up 25 yards on six carries.

Barkley is just 1 of 5, and Marquis Lee's primary impact on the game has been the fumble. He did make a catch late in the quarter for 21 yards. Curtis McNeal has the biggest offensive play for the Trojans, a 33 yard run.
