The USC Trojans begin their season as the No. 1 team in the country and will start their journey towards another national championship against Hawaii at home on Saturday. As seen in the following defensive starters named for Saturday's game, this Trojans defense is young and talented. Only two seniors start (potentially three) and the rest are underclassmen with two juniors, six sophomores and one freshman.

Strongside Linebacker: Dion Bailey, So.
Middle Linebacker: Lamar Dawson, So.

Cornerback: Nickell Robey, Jr.
Free Safety: T.J. McDonald, Sr.
Strong Safety: Demetrius Wright, Jr. or Jawanza Starling, Sr.
Cornerback: Anthony Brown, So.
