The USC Trojans are preseason contenders to win the 2013 BCS National Championship, and they have the players to back it up. Phil Steele released his preseason All-American teams, and five Trojans make the list, with three on the first team.
Quarterback Matt Barkley, wide receiver Robert Woods and safety T.J. McDonald all made the first team. Barkley and Woods figure to be first round draft picks next season, with McDonald not too far behind them. No surprise they're the ones who made the first team. Not too far behind them are center Khaled Holmes (who must anchor a USC O-line coping with the loss of Matt Kalil) on the second team, and cornerback Nickell Robey on the fourth team.
Who made the UCLA team?
The punter. Jeff Locke is pretty good. But I imagine the Bruins would like more...Bruins on this list.
