2012 NFL Mock Draft: St. Louis Rams Take USC OT Matt Kalil With No. 6 Overall Pick, According To SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber

Now here's an interesting turn of events.

After weeks of having USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil in the three spot heading to the Minnesota Vikings, SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber has shaken things up in his latest NFL Mock Draft which has Kalil dropping to the sixth pick overall to the St. Louis Rams.

The Rams would jump for the joy if this scenario were to actually play out. The Rams, as many know, traded down to the sixth pick in exchange for the entire Washington Redskins franchise, two Starbucks and a lifetime supply of Tyler Perry films. Not really, but they got a lot to drop only four spots. And if the Rams were to still end up with Kalil, a top three type of talent, it would look like an even bigger get for the Rams.

Kalil would help solidify an offensive line that hasn't realized yet that their purpose is to keep quarterback Sam Bradford upright. Kalil would automatically have a best friend on the team in Bradford if only just for his presence.
