Darreus Rogers To USC: WR Signs On With Trojans, Rounds Out 2012 Draft Class

Darreus Rogers, a consensus 4-star recruit out of Carson Senior High School in Carson, CA has committed to the USC Trojans on National Signing Day. The 6'2", 200 pound wide receiver eventually chose Lane Kiffin and the Trojans over fellow Pac-12 rival Arizona St. Sun Devils, and likely will be the last of the 2012 USC recruiting class.

Rogers has a big, athletic body that can get up and meet the ball at it's highest point, as well as some sneaky speed. With the wideout's singing, it signals the likely end of the signings USC will partake in this recruiting class.

Per Pedro Moura on Twitter:

Fox Sports' Whitney Blaine tweeted Kiffin's explanation:

"We saved those three spots...balancing out the penalty is what we're doing."

Either way, from the talent USC is stacking, Kiffin looks like he knows what he's doing.

Rogers had been committed to USC for more than a year though He also had offers from Arizona State, Miami, Oregon, Southern Methodist, and UCLA. He joins a great corps of receivers at USC, highlighted by Robert Woods. Rivals rates Rogers as one of the top 30 receivers in the country, and the 198th talent overall in the nation.
