USC wide receiver Marqise Lee has been projected to finish fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting by stiffarmtrophy.com. Lee put up some of the most impressive numbers of any player in the NCAA this season, but the Trojans' disappointing overall record hurt the wideout's chances at college football's most prestigious award.
Lee leads the nation with a 112 receptions, is second with 1,680 yards, and third with 14 receiving touchdowns. Lee also returned a kickoff for a touchdown and is third-nationally in all-purpose yards. The good news for Lee is that he is only a sophomore, and is likely to start next season near the top of most Heisman lists.
Stiff Arm Trophy projects Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel to become the first freshman to take home the trophy. Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o is slotted for second, with Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein in third.
The Heisman Trophy presentation is scheduled for Saturday evening at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN.
