The oddsmakers are seemingly growing less confident with the Trojans as they knocked USC from 10-point favorites to nine-point favorites for the Trojans pivotal matchup against Arizona State this Saturday.
But perhaps they're just finally realizing that USC is 2-7 against the spread this season with most of their conference games being closer than expected.
Additionally, the Trojans actually lost in pretty embarrassing fashion to ASU last season with the Sun Devils handing them a 43-22 defeat in Tempe. And while USC was victorious the two years before that, they've only defeated ASU by margins of one point and five points.
This is undoubtedly a must-win game for both programs as the loser will essentially be removed from Pac-12 South contention. Both teams are entering this do-or-die showdown with losing streaks as well, with the Trojans sporting an unfamiliar two-game skid and the Devils bringing in a three-game slide of their own.
Kickoff for this game is currently scheduled for 12:00 p.m. PT.
