USC vs. Oregon score: Deficit remains as Trojans trail, 48-38

The USC Trojans have kept up, but have not cut into their deficit as they trail the Oregon Ducks, 48-38, after three quarters at the L.A. Coliseum on Saturday.

After giving up a 13-play touchdown drive to Oregon, the Trojans were in business thanks to all-world receiver Marqise Lee. With the help of solid blocking, Lee returned a kickoff 82 yards to set up USC at Oregon's 16-yard line. Five plays later, Silas Redd ran in a three-yard touchdown to make it a 41-38 game.

Lee also has 134 receiving yards on the day.

But the closed gap didn't last long. After three runs from Kenjon Barner that totaled 38 yards, Marcus Mariota connected with Josh Huff for a 36-yard touchdown pass to regain its ten-point cushion.

USC opened the second half with an 11-play, five-minute drive that was capped by a Redd two-yard touchdown run which made the score 34-31.

The third quarter closed with Oregon having totaled 614 yards, while USC has 492.
