USC quarterback Matt Barkley and receiver Marqise Lee both made the Walter Camp Award watch list released Tuesday that includes 15 total college football players vying to be named the best player in the country.
Barkley has thrown 33 touchdowns to just 13 interception this year while completing 65 percent of his passes for 2,972 yards. Lee, only a sophomore, leads the nation with 1,447 reception yards and 98 catches. He has 13 touchdown catches.
The USC Trojans duo was on the list composed of nine quarterbacks, three running backs and two linebackers. Lee is the only wide receiver on the list.
Fellow Pac-12 players up for the Walter Camp Award include UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin and Oregon running back Kenjon Barner.
Five finalists will be named to a finalist list on Nov. 28, and a winner will be announced on Dec. 6. The winner of the Walter Camp award is voted upon by FBS head coaches and sports information directors.
