The USC Trojans have overcome a number of mistakes to pull even with the Arizona State Sun Devils, 14-14, at halftime on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. USC has turned the ball over three times, including an interception for a touchdown, but managed to get enough big plays to stay with ASU through two quarters.
After the Trojan defense came up with an interception to start the second quarter, ASU's Alden Darby intercepted Matt Barkley and took the ball 70 yards to put the Sun Devils up 14-7.
The Trojans would wait until their final drive of the half to answer back. Barkley led a 13-play, 79-yard drive that took almost six minutes and was extended by several completions to Marqise Lee. Barkley hit Xavier Grimble from 4 yards out to complete the drive and give USC the tying score.
Lee is already having a big day, with seven catches for 136 yards and a touchdown.
USC will receive the ball to start the second half.
