After catching six passes for 69 yards against the Utah Utes on Thursday night, USC Trojans wide receiver Robert Woods has moved up to second all-time on UCS's career receptions list. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior has 207 catches throughout his career.
With 207 receptions, Woods is behind only Dwayne Jarrett, who played at USC from 2004-06 before getting drafted in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. Jarrett has since left the NFL and now plays for the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders. Woods needs nine receptions to tie and 10 to pass Jarrett on USC's all-time list.
Woods is currently tied in career receptions with Keary Colbert, who played at USC from 2000-03. He's moved ahead of Kareem Kelly and Johnnie Morton.
Woods caught 111 passes as a sophomore and has already hauled in 31 balls this season. At his pace, if he can stay away from injury, he should become USC's No. 1 all-time receiver.
