The USC Trojans are on track to be Rose Bowl against Michigan according to SB Nation's Week 9 bowl projections.
The UCLA Bruins are also slotted into the Sun Bowl against the Duke Blue Devils. San Diego State are projected for the New Mexico Bowl against San Jose State University.
The Oregon Ducks right now are slotted to play Alabama in the national title game. The Pac-12 could get a little messy though depending on how the year finishes out. Oregon State, USC and Oregon are all sitting at the top of the Pac-12 standings.
USC still has a game against Oregon and No. 5 ranked Notre Dame on tap. Oregon State still has games against Arizona State, Stanford and Oregon left on tap. The Ducks have the aforementioned games and a contest against Stanford as well.
USC has played in the most Rose Bowls in history with 33 appearances. They have also won 24 of them, the most in Rose Bowl history. If they end up playing Michigan, it will be the ninth Rose Bowl matchup between the two schools. USC holds a 6-2 record against Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
This would be the second consecutive bowl game for the UCLA Bruins. Last year they lost to the Illinois Fighting Illini, 20-14, in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
San Diego State would be heading to their third straight bowl game and 11th bowl game in school history. Last year they lost to Louisiana-Lafayette, 32-30, in the New Orleans Bowl.
