University of Southern California quarterback Matt Barkley had a record-setting weekend versus Colorado that helped him earn Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the sixth time in his career.
Barkley received this honor four times in 2011 and once in 2010.
Barkley threw a school record-tying record six touchdown passes in the Trojans' 50-6 win over Colorado. He set a school and conference mark by completing 95 percent of his passes (19-of-20) while earning a passer efficiency rating of 319.2. The senior quarterback also became the Pac-12's all-time leader in passing touchdowns by throwing the 102nd score of his career.
For the season, Barkley has thrown for 1,773 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing 65.7 percent of his passes. Barkley ranks 10th nationally with a passing efficiency rating of 164.1.
The Trojans are ranked 10th in the BCS standings, and will travel to play Arizona this Saturday, before their Nov. 3 showdown against No. 4 Oregon.
