College Football Rankings, Week 9: USC cracks the top 10 in the AP poll

USC is back in the top 10 in the AP poll following a 50-6 win over the Colorado Buffalos on Saturday.

The USC Trojans cracked the AP Poll's top 10 following their 50-6 win over the Colorado Buffalos on Saturday for the first time since Week 3.

The Trojans join the Oregon Ducks (No. 2) and the Oregon State Beavers (No. 7) as the third top-10 team from the Pac-12. South Carolina's 44-11 loss to Florida provided the room for the Trojans to crack the top 10.

USC was ranked second in Week 2, but a Week 3 21-14 loss to Stanford saw the Trojans drop out of the top 10 to No. 13. USC has rattled off four straight victories to climb back into the top 10.

The Stanford Cardinal moved up three spots to No. 19 following their 21-3 victory over the Cal Golden Bears to give the Pac-12 four teams ranked in the top 25.

Arizona and UCLA each received seven votes, and Arizona State received five votes to round out the Pac-12 representation.

Alabama wasn't unanimously voted into first place for the first time since Week 5. Oregon remained in second place for the fifth consecutive week, but saw their total points drop just a few from Week 8.
