The USC Trojans haven't quite been the offensive juggernaut so many projected them to be at the start of the season, but sophomore wide receiver Marqise Lee is having a season to remember. Lee leads the Trojans with 54 receptions, 681 yards and seven touchdowns, and also has a 100-yard touchdown kickoff return.
Sporting News released their midseason All-American team with week and Lee was one of two receivers selected for the squad. No other Trojans made the list. West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith was named to the team over Matt Barkley and others. The other wide receiver Stedman Bailey of WVU.
As for other Pac-12 players on the All-American team, running back Kenjon Barner of Oregon and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins of Washington were the only other nominees on offense. Star Lotulelei of Utah and senior cornerback Jordan Poyer made the defensive team.
Lee and the Trojans will take on Colorado this weekend.
