The USC Trojans opened up as 40-point favorites for their Pac-12 South matchup with Colorado on Saturday. Early betting has been coming in for USC, as the line has moved up to 41 since Monday.
The Trojans have not fared well against the spread this season, as they have not looked all that impressive in their victories. USC comes in just 2-5 against the spread, and covering the 40 points will be a difficult task this weekend, even against the struggling Buffaloes.
The total opened at 57 1/2 and hasn't moved. The Trojans are averaging 32.3 points per game this season, while Colorado is scoring 20.8 per contest. USC may be in line for a big offensive day, as the Buffaloes have allowed 42.3 per game in Pac-12 play.
USC comes into Saturday on a three-game winning streak, having defeated Washington, 24-14, last week. The Buffaloes' lone win came over Washington State, and they have been outscored by an average in 31 points in the two games since that victory.
