USC Basketball Looks To Take Advantage Of ASU Suspensions

The USC Trojans are coming off a Bay Area sweepfest (and they were the ones getting swept), and they'll need all the help they can get to try and start winning basketball games. So they have to be happy with the news that three of the most prominent Arizona St. Sun Devils basketball players will be out of commission in this contest.

Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic reports.

Starters Keala King and Kyle Cain, along with reserve guard Chris Colvin, have been suspended for "unacceptable conduct" and did not make the trip to Los Angeles. Their status will be revisited next week, which means they also will miss Saturday's contest against UCLA.

USC should now have a golden opportunity to put a win on their Pac-12 record tonight, as the Trojans have a rare game where they will have the deeper team and more talent on their roster. USC has Maurice Jones, Alexis Moore, Byron Wesley, Aaron Fuller and Dewayne Dedmon starting, which is no one's idea of an offensively-charged lineup, but they should have the requisite defense to hold down the Sun Devils.
