USC Football Recruiting: Arik Armstead Still A Possibility For Trojans

Now that the college football postseason has wrapped up, college football recruiting season can get into full swing. One California high school player that is very much in demand from a multitude of schools is Pleasant Grove player Arik Armstead, whose family is bracing for a slew of home visits in the next few days.

According to Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee, the USC Trojans are once again in the running for the 6'8", 295-pound lineman. Head coach Lane Kiffin is expected to make a personal home visit to the young player soon, which comes as a surprise to many. Arik made a verbal commitment to USC before his junior season, but decommitted from the school in November. Arik's older brother, Armond Armstead, plays for Kiffin at USC, although he did not play in the 2011 season.

Other teams that will be making home visits to Arik soon include Cal, Alabama, Washington, Notre Dame, UCLA, Oregon, Auburn and Hawaii. Arik says he is weighing all of his options and doesn't want to rule anything out.
