Armond Armstead is coming back to USC. But it's likely he won't be back to play football.
Armstead has spent most of the past few weeks looking around and trying to see if he could find a school to transfer with, as it looks like he wants to try and get a fresh start elsewhere. Armstead's been looking around at any other school that'll take him, including Notre Dame or Auburn.
Looks like it won't be working out that way.
Armond Armstead will be returning to SC this semester and Arik will announce on signing day.— Whitney Blaine (@whitneykblaine) January 18, 2012
The brothers said the decision was too rushed. Armond will work on graduate classes at USC this Spring and transfer in the fall somewhere.— Whitney Blaine (@whitneykblaine) January 18, 2012
Armstead will probably still be on track to play his final season of football at another school. Or he could test the waters and see if the NFL Draft would be interested in him despite missing the previous season.
Don't expect Armond to stick around to play football at USC a final season, or for his talented brother Arik to become a Bear.
