Last week's top-ranked team in the conference, the Oregon Ducks fell from No. 3 in the AP poll to No. 14 after a 40-27 loss to No. 4 LSU. The USC Trojans, who beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 19-17 in their season opener, dropped out of the top 25 completely. Though the Stanford Cardinal moved up one spot to No. 6.

Here is the AP poll top 10:

  1. Oklahoma Sooners (32 first place votes)
  2. LSU Tigers (17 first place votes)
  3. Alabama Crimson Tide (9 first place votes)
  4. Boise St. Broncos (2 first place votes)
  5. Florida St. Seminoles
  6. Stanford Cardinal
  7. Texas A&M Aggies
  8. Wisconsin Badgers
  9. Oklahoma St. Cowboys
  10. Nebraska Cornhuskers

In addition to No. 6 Stanford, No. 14 Oregon, the Pac-12 had four teams in the "others receiving votes" section. The Arizona State Sun Devils beat UC Davis 48-14 on Thursday, and moved up to No. 26. The Trojans are at No. 28, while the Utah Utes dropped from No. 30 in the preseason poll to No. 35. The Trojans host the Utes on Saturday evening in the first-ever Pac-12 college football game. The Arizona Wildcats are No. 44.
