The 2011 college football season is upon us, and Saturday brings us the first full day of action in the brand new Pac-12 Conference. Saturday's television schedule is highlighted by the No. 3 Oregon Ducks traveling to the bayou to face the No. 4 LSU Tigers in a nationally televised prime time game on ABC.
The Utah Utes (27-10 winners over Montana St.) and Arizona State Sun Devils (48-14 victors over UC Davis) began their season on Thursday, but Saturday had 10 full games of action. Here is the full Pac-12 schedule, including television information where relevant (all times PDT).
12:30 p.m. - No. 25 USC Trojans vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers (ABC, ESPN2, ESPN3): Matt Barkley and crew begin their season as favorites in the Pac-12 South. USC is a 24-point favorite over Minnesota.
12:30 p.m. - UCLA Bruins at Houston Cougars (Prime Ticket): Kevin Prince will get the start at quarterback for the Bruins, but Richard Brehaut is expected to see time under center, too.
1 p.m. - Oregon St. Beavers vs. Sacramento St. Hornets: The Beavers are ranked No. 23 in the preseason Sagarin ratings.
2 p.m. - No. 7 Stanford Cardinal vs. San Jose St. Spartans: Andrew Luck begins his Heisman Trophy campaign with a home gimme.
2 p.m. - Washington St. Cougars vs. Idaho St. Bengals
4 p.m. - Cal Bears vs. Fresno St. Bulldogs
4 p.m. - Washington Huskies vs. Eastern Washington Eagles (Fox Sports Network, regional)
5 p.m. - No. 3 Oregon Ducks at No. 4 LSU Tigers (ABC): The game of the day sends the Pac-12 favorites down south to SEC country.
7 p.m. - Arizona Wildcats vs. Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (Fox Sports Network, regional)
7:15 p.m. - Colorado Buffaloes at Hawaii Warriors (ESPN2)
