USC Vs. Syracuse Game Score: Matt Barkley's Third TD Pass Gives Trojans 24-3 Lead

The USC Trojans have had aerial success on Saturday evening in Los Angeles, as Matt Barkley has thrown for three touchdowns and 222 yards just three minutes into the third quarter, as the Trojans lead the Syracuse Orange 24-3 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Barkley threw his third touchdown pass, a 44-yard strike to freshman tight end Randall Telfer with 12:58 remaining in the third quarter.

USC trailed for the first time this season with 8:16 remaining in the first quarter after a 23-yard by Ross Krautman put Syracuse up 3-0. But the Trojans marched 66 yards in 10 plays, culminating in a five-yard touchdown pass from Barkley to Rhett Ellison. The Barkley-to-Ellison connection was key as the two were out of sync last Saturday against the Utah Utes, resulting in a few broken plays and one interception.

The Trojans have allowed just 13 points in the first half in three games so far this season.
