It's time to gear up for the 2011 college football season!
Lane Kiffin and the USC Trojans might still be on probation, but they still have a lot to play for this season, including trying to win the inaugural Pac-12 South title (they will be ineligible for the subsequent championship game though). Matt Barkley is a dark horse Heisman contender and could be playing his final season as USC's starting QB as he's likely to declare for the 2011 NFL Draft.
There is still a lot of talent for the Trojans, but there are plenty of question marks. Marc Tyler's suspension opens the way for a host of runners like Curtis McNeal, Dillon Baxter and D.J. McNeal to establish themselves as the starting RB. Robert Woods is established at one starting wide receiver spot, but who will join him on the right side? And the defense remains a total mystery--a lot of talent returns (Devon Kennard, Nick Perry and Wes Horton), but they were still mysteriously bad last season. Can they improve and be the complement to the high-powered Trojan offensive attack?
