USC Commit Jaydon Mickens Receives Cal Offer; Decommitment Imminent?

The USC Trojans have some good news with the commitment of Pio Vatuvei, but there might be bad news incoming. Jaydon Mickens committed early to Southern California back during his junior campaign, but his commitment has always been rather soft. He might very well be changing things up soon. It would be the second decommitment by a USC wideout, following Jordan Payton from Oaks Christian.

The California Golden Bears provided Mickens with a new offer this past weekend. It's unlikely that Mickens would be receiving a new offer if he wasn't wavering in his commitment. Mickens has great talent and can play multiple positions; both Cal and USC are looking at Mickens primarily as a receiver.

Unfortunately, we have conflicting reports about this. Scott Wolff of Inside USC claims that Mickens has decommitted. Ryan Abraham of the USC Rivals site counters that report; Mickens told Abraham that he had not decommitted.
