2011 National Signing Day: Cyrus Hobbi Commits To USC

The USC Trojans received another commitment from a four-star recruit on national signing day. All-American guard Cyrus Hobbi, from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, has signed with the Trojans, per Ryan Abraham of USCFootball.com:

From USCFootball.com’s Gerard Martinez 4-star OL Cyrus Hobbi: "I’m a Trojan baby! All signed."

Hobbi, rated by Rivals as the number four guard in the country, chose the Trojans over both UCLA and Arizona State. Per Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic:

"I felt like I could have been happy anywhere," Hobbi, Saguaro's first Parade magazine All-American, said. "ASU is a great school. But I'm 110 percent confident USC is the school for me."

Hobbi did pledge to the Trojans last Friday, but this makes Hobbi officially enrolled. The signing is a big step forward in a position of need for USC, which is the offensive line. Earlier, offensive lineman Aundrey Walker committed to the Trojans, Hobbi continues to add bulk on the line.

Hobbi is a 4-star offensive guard prospect on Rivals.com, as well as Scout.com and ESPN.
