2011 National Signing Day: Torian White Chooses USC Over UCLA

Chalk one up for Lane Kiffin over Rick Neuheisel in the ongoing rivalry between the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins, on national signing day. Torian White, an offensive lineman from nearby Lakewood High School, was a verbal commit to UCLA last summer but decided today on Fox Sports West to join the Trojans this fall. Smith was a three-star recruit at offensive tackle, per Rivals.

White joins an impressive group of offensive linemen to join USC on national signing day:

  • Audrey Walker: a 4-star recruit from Cleveland, and the top offensive guard per Rivals
  • Cyrus Hobbi: a 4-star recruit from Scottsdale, who can play both center and guard.
  • White: a 3-star tackle
  • Cody Temple: a 3-star center from Bakersfield.

White, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle, was also pursued by Oregon State.
