USC Vs. Stanford Basketball: Game Preview, Game Time, TV Info And More

The USC Trojans look to end their miserable December on a high note on Saturday afternoon as they face the Stanford Cardinal at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto. USC has lost two straight games and is just 1-5 in December with four of their six games scoring under 50 points, including Thursday's 53-49 loss at Cal.

USC was down 16 points in the second half against Cal but pulled to within a point in the final minute before succumbing to defeat. Maurice Jones hit a trio of three-pointers in the second-half run and led the Trojans with 17 points.

Since the start of the 1993 season, USC is just 7-30 on the road against Cal and Stanford. The Cardinal are the only team that received any votes in either poll, at No. 30 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and No. 32 in the Associated Press poll. Stanford has scored 66 points or more in 10 of their 13 games this season, while USC has held every single opponent to 66 points or less this season, the first time the Trojans have done so since 1948.

Saturday's 3:30 p.m. game will be televised by Fox Sports West, with Paul Sunderland and Brandon Granville on the call.
