USC Basketball: Trojans Host No. 12 Kansas At Galen Center

Kansas leads the all-time series with USC 10-5, and has won their last six meetings.

The USC Trojans will host the No. 12 Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday night at Galen Center. It is the final non-conference game of the season for USC, who opens conference play on December 29. Kansas is the highest-ranked team on the schedule for the Trojans this season.

USC snapped a three-game losing skid on Monday night, beating the TCU Horned Frogs 83-59 at Galen Center. Maurice Jones had 25 points and seven assists to lead the Trojans, who shot 50% from the field and beat their season high for points by 17.

Kansas (7-3) is coming off a loss on Monday, an 80-74 loss to Davidson in Kansas City, Missouri. Junior forward Thomas Robinson leads the Jayhawks with 18.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. The Trojans will also to have to deal with guard Tyshawn Taylor, who had arthroscopic knee surgery on December 11 but hasn't missed a game. Taylor scored 15 in the loss to Davidson.

Center Dewayne Dedmon had his best game of the season on Monday against TCU, with 14 points, six rebounds, three blocks, and three steals. The Trojans have lost six straight games to Kansas, including an 80-78 loss in Lawrence, Kansas last season. Kansas leads the all-time series with USC 10-5.
