The latest college basketball rankings are out, and the Kansas Jayhawks remained at No. 12 in the Associated Press poll. Kansas (7-2) comes to Los Angeles this week to face the struggling USC Trojans Thursday night at Galen Center, and will likely be the highest-ranked team USC will face this season.
The Trojans hung tough with the Jayhawks in Kansas last season before ultimately falling 80-78. This season, Kansas beat another local team, Long Beach State, 88-80 in Lawrence on December 6. Here is the AP top 10:
- Syracuse (11-0)
- Ohio State (10-1)
- Kentucky (9-1)
- Louisville (10-0)
- North Carolina (9-2)
- Baylor (9-0)
- Duke (9-1)
- Connecticut (9-1)
- Missouri (11-0)
- Marquette (10-0)
The Pac-12 has no teams in the top 25, but has two in the "others receiving votes" category. The Stanford Cardinal (9-1) are No. 28, while the Cal Bears (9-2) are No. 38. USC opens its Pac-12 conference schedule on December 29 with a weekend trip to the Bay Area to face Cal and Stanford, respectively.
