Shabazz Muhammad Losing Interest In UCLA Bruins

Shabazz Muhammad, the nation's top high school basketball recruit for 2012 and potentially the best overall prospect since John Wall in 2009, has experienced a drawn-out recruitment over the last few months. Once view as a lean towards the UCLA Bruins, that may no longer be the case with the program struggling the way it has in 2011. Here is the latest news:

Just about every program in the nation is after the talented senior, although schools such as Kentucky, Duke, UNLV and Arizona have all been connected to Shabazz in recent months. While the Bruins certainly aren't out of the running for Muhammad, the program needs to turn their season around in a hurry if they hope to land him for 2012.

Muhammad and his family have not set an official announcement date for when he will decide on a college, but a decision will likely come in the spring once he wraps up his season at Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada.
