Surprise, surprise, the UCLA Bruins have the best odds in the Pac-12 to capture the NCAA championship this season. UCLA is currently listed at 25/1 odds, tied for 11th best odds in the nation along with luminaries like Kansas and St. John's. Despite the backcourt losses of Tyler Honeycutt and Malcolm Lee, UCLA should have some of the best big man production in the conference and could very well strike an imposing shadow over the rest of the Pac-12.
A little bit more interesting is the reasonable amount of respect the USC Trojans are getting here. USC is getting 100/1 odds, equal to their more highly touted preseason conferencemates the California Golden Bears. USC has lost a lot of their defensive frontcourt depth with the departures of Nikola Vucevic, Alex Stepheson and Marcus Simmons, plus already saw Jio Fontan go down for the season. There isn't really much left for the Trojans to rally back and win a title, is there?
