USC QB Matt Barkley (Six Touchdowns) Wins Pac-12 Offensive Player Of The Week

Matt Barkley had quite a night Friday in Boulder. The USC Trojans junior quarterback set a school record with six touchdown passes in a 42-17 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes at Folsom Field. The performance has earned Barkley the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.

Barkley completed 25 of 39 passes for 318 yards against Colorado, and threw for five or more touchdowns for the fourth time in his career. No other Trojans quarterback has that many such games. On the season, Barkley has thrown for 2,608 yards with 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Barkley's 28 touchdowns are tied for seventh-most by a USC quarterback in a single season, with three games remaining.

This is the second Pac-12 weekly honor for Barkley, who also won on October 3 after throwing for a career-high 468 yards and four scores against the Arizona Wildcats. Wide receiver Robert Woods also won the offensive player of the week after the season-opening win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
