USC Basketball Injury Update: Dewayne Dedmon Out For At Least A Month

The USC Trojans are already in trouble, as they've already lost Jio Fontan for the season. They could also be down one of their most talented big men for a significant chunk of the schedule.

Forward Dewayne Dedmon suffered a stress fracture and will probably miss at least the rest of December. Head coach Kevin O'Neill announced that Dedmon will miss at least a few weeks, perhaps more if his foot doesn't fully heal. Dedmon could be out as few as four weeks and as many as eight.

Transfer James Blasczyk is expected to take Dedmon's place in the rotation, but the Trojans are in really bad shape in terms of depth. Dedmon was arguably the most talented player on the team and gave USC perhaps their best offensive presence inside the first few games. Now they'll have to rely on Maurice Jones and Aaron Fuller almost exclusively to generate the offense they need to win their games.
