BCS Rankings Projections: Stanford Expected To Move Up To No. 5, Oregon To Stay At No. 10 Heading Into Pac-12 Championship Game Against UCLA

The UCLA Bruins had their hands full on Saturday night as they were drubbed 50-0 by the USC Trojans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Bruins have precious little time to rebound from that defeat as they travel to Eugene, Oregon for the inaugural Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday against the Oregon Ducks. The latest BCS rankings will be released on Sunday evening, and the Ducks appear to be holding steady at No. 10.

With USC ineligible for postseason play, they have been held out of the BCS standings this season, but Oregon and the Stanford Cardinal have represented the Pac-12 near the top of the polls all year. In last week's BCS rankings, Stanford was ranked No. 6 and Oregon No. 10, and Samuel Chi of SB Nation projects Stanford to move up one spot this week. Here are Chi's top 10:

  1. LSU
  2. Alabama
  3. Oklahoma State
  4. Virginia Tech
  5. Stanford
  6. Boise State
  7. Houston
  8. Arkansas
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Oregon

Stanford beat Notre Dame on Saturday night in Palo Alto. Oregon beat Oregon State 49-21 in The Civil War on Saturday in Eugene. Chi expects Stanford to get a BCS bowl bid as well as Oregon, assuming the Ducks beat UCLA on Friday.
