Las Vegas Invitational 2011: USC Vs. UNLV Game Preview

The USC Trojans look for their second straight victory on Friday night as they battle the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in the 2011 Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena. USC is coming off a 65-62 victory on Tuesday night at Galen Center in Los Angeles. The Trojans will try to hand UNLV (5-0) their first loss of the season.

The Trojans will have their hands full with the Runnin' Rebels, who have won each of their last three games by at least 23 points. UNLV is led in both scoring and rebounding by UCLA Bruins transfer Mike Moser, who is averaging 16.0 points and 13.0 rebounds so far this season.

Aaron Fuller (15.0 points per game) and Maurice Jones (14.6) are the only two Trojans scoring in double figures this season. Jones, who is also averaging 3.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists through five games, has played 206 of a possible 210 minutes so far this season.

USC leads the all-time series with UNLV 5-3, dating back to 1993. The Trojans won their last matchup, 67-56 on Christmas Day in 2009 at the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii.
