BCS Standings: Oregon Drops To No. 10 After Loss To USC; Three SEC West Teams Atop Rankings

The USC Trojans had the signature win of their season on Saturday night, a 38-35 victory over the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. It was one of three losses during a crazy college football weekend by teams in last week's BCS standings top five. The loss dropped Oregon from No. 4 to No. 10 in this week's BCS rankings, which include three SEC West teams at the top:

  1. LSU Tigers (11-0)
  2. Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1)
  3. Arkansas Razorbacks (10-1)
  4. Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1)
  5. Virginia Tech Hokies (10-1)
  6. Stanford Cardinal (10-1)
  7. Boise State Broncos (9-1)
  8. Houston Cougars (11-0)
  9. Oklahoma Sooners (8-2)
  10. Oregon Ducks (9-2)

In addition to No. 4 Oregon losing to USC, No. 2 Oklahoma State fell on the road to Iowa State and No. 5 Oklahoma lost on the road at Baylor.

This coming week, LSU hosts Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in what will certainly be the game of the week. Oregon hosts Oregon State in The Civil War, needing a win to advance to the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, December 2. Stanford on Saturday night hosts Notre Dame, ranked No. 22 in the BCS standings.
