Jordan Payton has had a fun if abbreviated road on the recruiting trail after decommitting from the USC Trojans. The Oaks Christian wide receiver looked like he was a big favorite to join up with the Michigan Wolverines after an enthusiastic trip to Ann Arbor for September's Notre Dame-Michigan game.
However, it looks as if he isn't quite yet ready to finish the recruiting process quite yet. Payton went to South Bend for the Michigan-Notre Dame contest, and it looks like he had just as much fun there as he did in Michigan.
Payton (who originally said an announcement was coming soon) says he wouldn't be making his decision today, which could mean he could commit tomorrow, or sometime in the near future. But it looks like the race for one of the West Coast's top receivers will be centered among two premier Midwest rivals.
