The USC Trojans have been on a roll since losing to the Arizona St. Sun Devils. They poured on the points against the Arizona Wildcats, used their defense to shut down the California Golden Bears, then were exceptional against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before taking advantage of their opportunities to win that one. USC is probably just as hot as their opponents the Stanford Cardinal coming into their Halloween matchup, which could give them hope for an upset.
Vegas seems to believe that USC has a good chance too. USC is currently installed as 7.5 to 8.5 point underdogs (depending on which sportsbook you look at) against Stanford. Remember that USC gave Stanford everything they could handle last season in Palo Alto before losing in the last seconds. With the Trojans sporting an improved defense and the home field advantage, can Matt Barkley derail the dream season of Andrew Luck and his Cardinal?
