Michigan Football Recruiting: Jordan Payton To Announce, Wolverines Favored Over ASU, Cal, Notre Dame

After his decommitment from the USC Trojans, Jordan Payton has gone exploring, and it looks like his eyes have turned to the Midwest. Payton is considered one of the top wide receivers in California, and could be the number one option at many big-time programs the further he develops.

Rght now, it's sounding like the Michigan Wolverines are the team to beat for Payton's services. His announcement could be coming as soon as next week if the recruiting news sites are to believe. Payton used to have a top two of Cal and Michigan, but it looks as if the Maize and Blue pulled ahead after his visit and the Michigan victory over Notre Dame.

Payton does have a top four, with the other three big schools being Arizona State, Cal, and Notre Dame. Payton will be taking his official to Notre Dame this week, and barring something incredible, his commitment could help be one of the cappers to an impressive recruiting class for Brady Hoke.
