Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Nikola Vucevic poured in 20 points and pulled down nine boards to lead the USC Trojans over the Stanford Cardinal, 65-42, in a Pac-10 Conference romp at the Galen Center. Jio Fontan scored 12 points for USC (11-8, 3-3 Pac-10), while Alex Stepheson added 10 points and 11 boards.
Stanford (10-7, 3-3) was held to a season-low point total. Anthony Brown led the team with nine points. The Trojans utilized a stifling defensive effort to put the game away early, limiting Stanford to 25 percent first half shooting to lead 37-22 at the break. USC only needed 10 second half field goals to seal the win. The Cardinal shot a paltry 22.2 percent from the field on the night. USC hosts Cal on Saturday evening at Galen Center.
