The USC Trojans, who moved up to 18th in the AP poll after last week's 50-16 win, have a chance to move up again with a win this week at home against the Washington Huskies. This is a revenge game for the Trojans, looking to avenge last season's 16-13 loss in Seattle.
A convincing win alone might not be enough to move USC up for the second week in a row, after three straight weeks dropping in the poll, but losses by other college football teams ahead of them could help. Iowa, ranked one spot ahead of the Trojans, hosts No. 22 Penn State, while No. 11 Wisconsin heads to No. 24 Michigan State, who could rally behind the return of coach Mark Dantonio, just two weeks after suffering a heart attack.
The UCLA Bruins host the Washington State Cougars and, while a third straight win will gain the Bruins a measure of respect, don't expect them to enter the top 25 just yet. They might need a win over Oregon on Thursday, Oct. 21 to do that.
