So far, September 25 has proved to be a day for great road wins for the Pac-10, which coming into this week was rated the second-best conference in the country by Jeff Sagarin of USA Today, just behind the SEC.

First, UCLA dominated Texas despite throwing the ball just nine times, by running the ball down the Longhorns' throats for 260 yards. It wasn't quite like the 66-3 rout in 1997, but a 34-12 Bruins' win will do just fine.

Stanford unleashed hell on Notre Dame, taking the fight out of the Irish with a 37-14 win in South Bend, proving once again that Luck is better than faith.

↵

Even USC, although they were playing a conference game, looked pretty good in its 50-16 rout of Washington State at the Palouse.

What can make this a perfect day for the conference? Well, Oregon State just happens to be playing No. 3 Boise State in less than an hour, on ESPN. A win by the Beavers on the blue turf would cap a wonderful day for the Pac-10 conference.
