So far, September 25 has proved to be a day for great road wins for the Pac-10, which coming into this week was rated the second-best conference in the country by Jeff Sagarin of USA Today, just behind the SEC.
↵First, UCLA dominated Texas despite throwing the ball just nine times, by running the ball down the Longhorns' throats for 260 yards. It wasn't quite like the 66-3 rout in 1997, but a 34-12 Bruins' win will do just fine.
↵Stanford unleashed hell on Notre Dame, taking the fight out of the Irish with a 37-14 win in South Bend, proving once again that Luck is better than faith.
↵Even USC, although they were playing a conference game, looked pretty good in its 50-16 rout of Washington State at the Palouse.
↵What can make this a perfect day for the conference? Well, Oregon State just happens to be playing No. 3 Boise State in less than an hour, on ESPN. A win by the Beavers on the blue turf would cap a wonderful day for the Pac-10 conference.
