USC had many opportunities to put points in the scoreboard, but missed on many, but lead Arizona State 14-7.
USC quarterback Matt Barkley has thrown two touchdowns to running back Marc Tyler and wide receiver David Ausburry, he also has completed 15 of his 22 pass attempts for 122 yards. Barkley also threw an interception in the endzone after the Trojans blocked a punt by safety TJ McDonald.
Arizona State’s lone touchdown score came from quarterback Steven Threet throwing a pass to receiver Gerell Robinson.
The USC defense has fared better against the Arizona State offense as they sacked Threets four times. USC has only allowed 142 yards of offense.
