Pac-10 College Football Picks: Week 12

This week in the Pac-10 features a light Saturday schedule. Four teams have off days, and UCLA lost to Washington on Thursday night. After a winless week two weeks ago (0-4-1), I rebounded last week with a 2-2 week. I didn't get a chance to pick Thursday night's game, so here are my abbreviated picks for today in the Pac-10. California Golden Bears (+7) over Stanford Cardinal (12:30 p.m., Prime Ticket)

↵

Cal is 4-1 at home this season, and their only loss was a two-point loss last week to top-ranked Oregon. Look for them to be fired up for The Big Game against the Cardinal. Stanford will be motivated, too, as they still have a chance to make a BCS bowl game. Cal has won eight of their last nine meetings with Stanford. Part of this pick is that I'm angry at Stanford for not covering the spread last Saturday against Arizona State, when running back Anthony Wilkerson (rightfully) slid down to let the clock run out rather than add a gambler-friendly touchdown.

USC Trojans (-3) over Oregon State Beavers (5pm, ABC)

↵

USC has lost in each of their last four trips to the state of Oregon, but look for that streak to end tonight, as the Trojans eye a 10-win season, pretty much the only goal they have left as they are ineligible for a bowl.
