Trojans Vs. Broncs: Trojans Lose At Galen

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Justin Robinson was nearly perfect on the night, as the guard finished with 28 points for Rider, leading the Broncs to an impressive 77-57 victory over the USC Trojans in a Hall of Fame Tip-Off showdown at the Galen Center.

Robinson missed just one shot in the contest, finishing the game 9-of-10 from the field, while connecting on all five of his three-point attempts and all five of his foul shots. Novar Gadson was the only other player in double- figures for Rider (2-1), as he came off the bench to contribute 10 points.

Donte Smith and Maurice Jones tallied 13 points apiece in the loss for USC (2-1).

The Broncs took a 36-27 lead in the break after posting a sizzling 60.0 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half, which included an impressive 6-of-11 showing from behind the arc.

In the second stanza, the Broncs used more of a defensive approach, holding USC to a weak 34.4 percent shooting effort, en route to the 20-point win on the road.

Rider finished 12-of-19 from long range, while USC made just one of its 15 three-point attempts.
