Oregon At USC: With ESPN In Town, Trojans Undefeated

For the second straight year, the ESPN College GameDay crew are in town as the USC Trojans battle the Oregon Ducks. Last season, on Halloween, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and the gang were in Eugene, Oregon to watch the Ducks dismantle the Trojans 47-20. This year, USC hopes for some of the same home cooking as GameDay will be at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Saturday morning, before Saturday night's big game.

USC is undefeated at home when ESPN College GameDay makes the trip to Los Angeles:

  • October 9, 2004: No. 1 USC 23, No. 7 California 17
  • November 27, 2004: No. 1 USC 41, Notre Dame 10
  • December 3, 2005: No. 1 USC 66, No. 11 UCLA 19
  • September 16, 2006: No. 4 USC 28, No. 19 Nebraska 10
  • November 25, 2006: No. 3 USC 44, No. 6 Notre Dame 24
  • September 13, 2008: No. 1 USC 35, No. 5 Ohio State 3

At home with GameDay in town, USC is 6-0 and has defeated opponents by an average score of 40-14. Then again, the lowest the Trojans have been ranked in the Associated Press poll in those games was fourth, in 2006. USC is ranked 24th in the current AP poll.

This season, home teams are 7-0 with ESPN College GameDay in town. Saturday night's game can be seen at 5 p.m. PDT on ABC and ESPN3.com.
