College Football Rankings, Week 9: Pac-10 Has Four Teams In AP Top 25

As expected, the USC Trojans rejoined the top 25 in the latest Associated Press poll, coming in at number 24 after finishing five votes shy of the top 25 last week. The Oregon Ducks, who come to Los Angeles Saturday to face USC, is ranked number one in both the AP and USA Today coaches polls.

The Pac-10 now has four teams ranked in the AP top 25:

  • No. 1 Oregon
  • No. 13 Stanford
  • No. 15 Arizona
  • No. 24 USC

The Oregon State Beavers, who had a bye week this week after losing to Washington last weekend, are in the "others receiving votes" section of the AP poll, technically ranked 33rd.

USC is ineligible for the USA Today coaches poll, which has three Pac-10 teams in the top 25:

  • No. 1 Oregon
  • No. 14 Stanford
  • No. 16 Arizona

Cal is in the "others receiving votes" section of the coaches poll, technically ranked 35th.

Oregon received 44 of 60 first-place votes in the AP poll, and 50 of 59 first-place votes in the coaches poll.
