Lane Kiffin On USC Defense: 'We're Just Not Playing Very Well Right Now.'

Chris Galippo had a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Stanford's game-winning drive, a play not forgotten by Kiffin. "[Galippo's] performance really is our issue right now. He played so well, like we've done in two games the majority of the game, then right at the end makes a really poor decision in crunch time," Kiffin said.

USC ranks dead last in the Pac-10 conference, allowing 287.5 pass yards per game.

Kiffin was quick to praise freshman Robert Woods, who caught 12 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns against the Cardinal, calling him a glimpse of the bright future at USC.

USC plays California at home on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. PDT, a game broadcast by Prime Ticket.
