UCLA Vs. Nebraska: Brett Hundley Impresses, But Bruins Tied 24-24 Against Cornhuskers

The UCLA Bruins find themselves entering halftime in a 24-24 tie against the No. 16 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers, in large part due to the play of starting quarterback Brett Hundley.

The freshman quarterback has shown no signs of struggle in what is Hundley's second career start and his first at home. He's completed 13 of his 17 pass attempts, thrown for 3 touchdowns and 201 yards in the first half against Nebraska. Running back Jonathan Franklin has helped shoulder the load with Hundley, taking 12 carries for 78 yards.

But if the Bruins want to improve to 2-0 on the season, they'll need their defensive unit, specifically their front seven, to stiffen up in the second half against the Cornhuskers. So far in the first half, Nebraska has been able to run the ball at will, averaging over 10 yards per rush attempt.

Nebraska will surely come out in the third quarter looking to ride their momentum with adjusted schemes to make life tough on the Bruins freshman quarterback.
