UCLA Football: Bruins LB Jordan Zumwalt in scooter accident, should play at Colorado

Chris Foster of the Los Angeles Times reports that linebacker Jordan Zumwalt had a motor scooter accident this Sunday. Zumwalt was riding his motor scooter back to his apartment in Westwood when he was hit by a car, reported a source who is close to the situation. Zumwalt had to be treated for minor injuries at a hospital, although he was released that same evening. Zumwalt did not practice with the team on Tuesday.

Zumwalt is expected to play when UCLA travels to Boulder for a game against Colorado on Saturday. Zumwalt is one of the team's leading tacklers, as he's currently situated fifth overall with 16 and also has three tackles for loss. If Zumwalt is unable to go, there are a few possibilities off the bench like Keenan Graham, Aaron Wallace and Aramide Olaniyan, with freshman Kenny Orjioke a potential option as well. The good news is that UCLA is facing the Buffaloes, who are among the candidates for worst team in the Pac-12.
